WHY   MAKE   ART?

10 LESSONS THE ARTS TEACH
Elliott Eisner, former Lee Jacks Professor of Education, Emeritus, Stanford Graduate School of Education

ART IN SCHOOLS MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
Houston's Arts Access Initiative Makes Measurable Difference
What parents are saying about our program:

"ColorWheels has helped so much with my son's confidence and anger issues....he loves it so much."

"Adam (3) never paid attention to color until he started this class."

"You have sparked such creativity in my son and you have given him so much confidence. He proudly announces that he is a 'kid artist', and it is so rewarding to see that as his mom."

"My daughter absolutely loved your art class. She came home talking about her axolotl for the next 3 days. Thanks for giving kids a space to be creative."

"Highly recommend this!"
What kids are saying about our program:
"ColorWheels days are the best days EVER!"
                                                                       --5th grader
I feel so creative when I'm sitting in front of a pile of TRASH!"
--3rd grader on Recycle Robot day

ColorWheels Fun!

Since I couldn't teach in-person art at school in 2020/21 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I made art instead. I had so much fun illustrating MASK-A-RADE, a rollicking rhyming story about animals facing a MASK MESS and the intrepid teacher who saves the day.

2020 SUMMER CAMP
Summer Camp at
Girard Training Stables in Goodyear, Arizona offered riding, horse-care, goat visits, chicken feeding, daily art projects, swimming pool time, and more. In 2020, ColorWheels brought llamas and butterflies into the mix!
2021 WINTER ART & DRAMA CAMP
Ponies and pigs and peacocks, oh my! For our Jan/Feb 2021 class, BREAK OUT DURING THE OUTBREAK, Ms. Shelly from A Little Drama and I teamed up for four weeks of outdoor puppetry and skit-making at Girard Training Stables in Goodyear. Knights, camera, action!
