What a wonderful morning at La Loma Community Center, sharing stories and working on techniques to tell them in clay. Students learned how to make a basic armatures (inner support) out of wire or tin foil, to add structure, if needed, to sculptures that speak of anxieties, fears, hope, and paths into the future. Some serious, some playful, all healing. We used Sculpey air-dry clay, kept moist with water in this Arizona desert!
