This mini bumble bee piñata is a perfect spring project and can be made out of any box you have on hand. Just add party streamers or tissue paper, chenille stem antennae, and paper eyes, smile, and wings. It'll keep you bzzzzzzyyyyy!

HOTDOG, it's a Gila monster! Fun with air dry clay

When I first moved to Arizona, I didn't know Gila was pronounced heela. But it is. Since I wrote a poem about Gila monsters, I thought it would be fun to make one out of Crayola air-dry terracotta clay. This was one of the first lessons I did when ColorWheels went online in 2020, so at 12 minutes, its longer than the others (except the VERY first one I made!). Gilas are basically shaped like a curved hotdogs, which makes them pretty easy to sculpt, and it's fun adding texture to their skin with the end of a drinking straw.
